Use hot glue to attach a rhinestone bauble to the center of the liner flower. Add a row of self-stick rhinestones to the bottom of the crown for extra sparkle.
Add Ribbon
Using a standard hole punch, punch each side of the crown about 1/2″ in to accommodate the ribbon. Insert ribbon through holes, then knot to secure. Cut loose ends of ribbon, leaving the ends long enough so the crowns will be able to comfortably tie around kids’ heads.

Black Cat Pumpkins

Use basic craft supplies — like paint, felt and pipe cleaners — to make a whole litter of these lucky black cats. You can use fresh pumpkins, if you prefer, but these carve-free kitties are so cute that faux pumpkins are a better bet so you can display them year after year.

Materials Needed:

  • faux pumpkins of various sizes and shapes
  • hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • black exterior paint
  • 2″ foam paintbrush
  • scissors
  • black craft foam
  • medium-tipped white paint marker
  • white craft paint
  • small craft paintbrush
  • gray and light brown pipe cleaners
  • felt (light gray, light brown or red)
  • black marker
Paint Pumpkins
Cover pumpkins with three coats of black exterior paint, allowing paint to dry fully between coats.
Create Ears and Eyes
Use scissors to cut two arrow-shaped ears out of a piece of black craft foam . Use a kitchen knife to cut a small slot in the top of the pumpkin to fit the ears . Apply a dab of hot glue to ear tabs’ back side then insert them into the ear slots . Use a white paint pen to draw on angled cat eyes then fill them in using the paint pen or a small paintbrush and white craft paintCreate and Attach Nose and Whiskers
To create a nose, use a black marker to draw an arch on one corner of a felt sheet, then cut along the marked line (Image 1). Apply a dab of hot glue to the center of the nose only and secure it to the pumpkin just below the eyes (Image 2). Cut three pipe cleaners in half and use hot glue to attach them to the pumpkin under the edges of the felt nose (Image 3). Using a faux pumpkin ensures you can display your crafty kitties year after year — just store them somewhere relatively cool to prevent the hot glue from melting

-Cereal box
-Crafts knife and cutting mat
-Masking tape

Instructions:
1. Cut one of the largest rectangles from your cereal box.
2. Cut out jack-o’-lantern shapes with a crafts knife on a cutting mat. (An adult will need to do this part.)
3. Next, tape your template to the fabric and have your kids dab on the paint using a stencil brush or sponge (you could also use the end of a spongy paint roller). The trick to getting the paint on neatly is to hold the brush or sponge end perpendicular to the surface. Let dry.

Materials Needed:

  • faux pumpkin
  • black permanent marker
  • eyeglasses stickers
  • sheet black felt
  • 6″ foam cone
  • hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • sheet gold glitter paper
  • picture frame sticker
  • light green spray paint
  • 1 faux fall leaf garland
  • sheet of black craft foam
  • small bowl
  • aluminum foil
  • salad plate
  • pencil
  • scissors
Create Witch’s Nose
Place pumpkin on top of a small bowl so the stem is facing to the side . Twist a piece of aluminum foil into a cone shape then attach it to the pumpkin’s stem with hot glue .
Paint Pumpkin
Move outdoors or to a well-ventilated area. Cover the small bowl with a plastic bag and coat the entire pumpkin with light green spray paint.
Add Facial Features
Attach eyeglasses sticker above the tin foil nose . Using a black permanent marker, draw on a mouth and pupils inside the glasses .
Craft Witch’s Hat
Place a salad plate on top of a sheet of black craft foam, trace around it with a pencil then cut out the circle with a pair of scissors . Cover a 6″ foam cone with black felt. Use hot glue to secure it and trim off excess felt around the bottom of the cone . Use hot glue to attach the felt-covered cone to the brim . As a finishing touch, create a buckle by placing a small square of gold glitter paper behind a small picture frame sticker, securing them both to the hat with hot glue
Finishing Touches
To create hair for your Halloween witch, remove one section of leaves from the center of a faux leaf garland. Use hot glue to secure the leafless section of garland to the top of the witch’s head . Finally, attach the hat to the top of her head with hot glue and wrap leaves around her “neck” to conceal the small bowl
